The next 50 days are simple: 42km of running. 60 minutes of training. Every day.

Day Zero - From Dusk Till Dawn 🌥

When I launched this video 2 weeks ago, I was nervous. But when I saw your reactions my I felt a strong sense urgency. How do I know this is even possible? 8 weeks of training, 56h spent in the gym, 1,100km on the road … that didn’t convince me.

I needed to know that I could make it through a single day on Project 50/50. So on a rainy Saturday morning, I met a guy who was crazy enough to apply for this job - together we set out for a trial day zero. After 10h, we made it back. Exhausted? Very. Confident? Very.

And … What Route? What Crew? What Car? 🤔

Of course that’s what I saved for last (because how hard can it be). And of course it turned out to the hardest challenge of all - the whole rollercoaster of emotions. Sponsors on the fence, caravans breaking down, heavy doubts from friends (and family members).

The odds for Project 50/50 actually happening were tanking. At times, it drove us (and everyone around us) to the brink of insanity: Fighting for the project at day, training for the madness at night. Right up until yesterday (!) we ticked off the final boxes.

Hybrid Sport: Ready To Go 🏋️‍♂️🏃‍♂️

Don’t even get me started … our moldmaker and our sole factory worked day and night. Trying everything to find solutions for our fairly complicated design and manufacturing requirements. If it wasn’t for them, this project would have died weeks ago!

But this time we won’t miss: Karim - our product design grand master - took matters into his own hands. Within a week he demonstrated his skills by upgrading the performance of his brainchild with a mix of 3D-printing and classic footwear manufacturing techniques.

Official Launch: September 30th (!!!) 🗓🔥

The first 10 days of running will be absolutely brutal. That’s what every experienced ultra runner told me. So it’s only fair to you, to launch after that phase. Every minute now decides if the Hybrid sport (and myself) can keep it together.

However, there is one thing that I can promise you: I’m 100% determined to make it to our Kickstarter launch on September 30th. You waited too damn long. Our partners have worked top damn hard. I won’t mess this up - and if I do you will see it here.
