Eventhough my trip to Amsterdam did not end in full success...

So today, I tell you how we passed 15.000€ in 10 days.. anyway.

BUT FIRST, HELLO..

To 57 new subscribers! Here’s the spot, where we meet once a week to get the latest insight on Modifox 🦊

You might be a bit confused, don’t worry. Reading on, you’ll get the hang of it.

I said I’d get us funded in 24h..

So what happened? Well, have you seen me interview this guy?

I asked him what he thought our shoes were about. His first guess: Maybe a yacht shoe? We both laughed.. 😅

But then I talked to Patrick - a friend of mine who lives on a house boat. He got super excited about the idea:

‘The first boat shoe that doesn’t get your deck dirty’

Coincidentally, METS - the world’s biggest trade fair for marine equipment just took place in Amsterdam..

So I packed my things and went to meet the industry! 🛥

Sadly, I couldn’t secure an order of Modifox ‘Ocean’ Kiss. So getting to 15K€ took us a bit longer..

However, we’re now in talks with some of the biggest retailers in yachting. Who’s laughing now?

Going from Amsterdam to Berlin 🚄

2 days I spent at the Marine Show in Amsterdam. But the next big thing was already on the horizon..

So we left the suit case untouched and hopped on a train to Berlin on Saturday morning at 5 AM. 💀

It was our first fair as an exhibitor. And our setup was quite limited.

No fancy posters, packaging or product portfolio. Just 1 half broken roll-up and 4 prototypes. Plus 100 flyers we printed the day prior.

Still, we found ourselves in exciting talks with far over 100 people.. 10 of them actually bought a pair. Despite all the Kickstarter struggle! 🫢

Now we can rest! 😌

Hah! Definetely not. There’s 16 more days and I plan on using every minute of it..

In Berlin, people asked whether our shoe works for camping, too. 1 guy specifically wanted to buy a pair to tour Europe for the next 4 months.

So it didn’t take us long to find out when the next camping fair takes place. Tomorrow! Now, we do have a few things to get done before.. 🏃🏼

But by this weekend, we’ll be touring TC Touristic & Caraving Leipzig.

Many people seem to be excited about our product. A lot of them ordered! But the support from our friends & family is simply overwhelming.

Not only did you buy our product. The amount you donated without expecting anything in return is baffeling.

For example: By now you donated over 400€ for my marathon challenge. The idea was 1€ per kilometer..

But with the right preparation I should be able to match that number. 💪🏻
