Hola, que tal? 🌊

It’s me again. After a 3 week trip, I’m back at my desk.

You might wonder why we speak so soon.

That’s because we finally launch in about 6 weeks time.

And a lot is happening …

So today I share what to expect leading up to launch.

Wait … who is talking now?

Until this mail, we spoke bi-weekly. But to keep up with news, we will now share updates every 7 days. And because Tobi has kept the opening rate well above 50% (chapeau), we share this pleasure.

How do we do this? As natural as possible. Tobi leads the operations. Logically, he has all the latest news on the current state of our shoes. Colours, sizing, pricing, emissions … you name it.

Meanwhile, I am the guy shouting from the rooftops. Pitching at competitions, talking to press, setting up our Kickstarter Campaign.

I took a long break. Why? 🌴

All year around, I’ve been busy. In fact, I’ve been busy for longer then I can remember. It scared me to take time off before our launch. Especially so much time.

But during the weeks leading up to my vacation I turned into a reactive rabbit. Anxiously responding to any change of my environment.

I knew, that in this state I was of no help to anybody … So for +20 days I traveled the Carribean. Or in Tobis words I did this:

Düsseldorf → Cancun → El Piste → Merida → Campeche → Chetumal → Tikal → Belize City → Tulum → Oaxaca → Holbox → Düsseldorf

In hinsight, taking some time off was among my best decisions this year. It took some time, but by the second week I was able to calm down and enjoy myself.

Now refreshed and recovered, I’m back and ready for launch! 👨🏻‍🚀

So, what’s next?

The next 6 weeks will be a hell of a ride. At the moment we are in between jumping on podcasts, testing the product and refining our design.

But in comparison, November will be nuts. Originally, we planned to launch while pitching Modifox live @Founders League. However, the dates don’t align.

Creative as we are, we are plotting something even cooler.

But first things first. Next up, we will …

📸 Shoot a creative Kickstarter campaign.

👟 Open the mold for our final design.

🔥 Prepare a monstrous launch.
