35 Marathons. 35 Days.

Over 1,500km In 1 Shoe - What Now?

Good Morning My Friends!

It’s 1:30AM as I’m writing this at 1,007m of altitude up in the Spanish mountains.
On this day 35 our battle-test of the Hybrid Sport has officially reached it’s peak!

Honestly, it is hard to believe that we just crossed 1,500km in distance in 1 shoe.
Does it still work? Or is it completely falling apart? I’ll be 100% transparent.

1 - 42KM Per Day: Beaches To Cliffs

7 short days ago, we ran up and down a 110 meter dune in 26 degrees heat at the beautiful coast in France. And only 1 day later, we thought why not do just do a full marathon on sand.

Fast forward a few more marathons: We find ourselves deep inside the Basque mountains with headwinds of 23km/h. Trying to push ourselves and the Hybrid Sport through the roughest of terrain (so far). Can we endure 15 more days?

2 - Real Talk: How Are The Shoes?

1,501 kilometres of running distance and 2,168 minutes of strength training later: I have to be honest: I am a surprised by how well the first shoe for lifting & running keeps up. I had expected at least the prints to wear down - but so far it handles the test like a champ.

The running soles have been in contact with every thinkable terrain. My first 2 pairs showed heavy signs of wear & tear on the 3D-printed part (after about 430km). Luckily, pair #3 came straight out of a factory mold - no 3d printing - and stayed strong for the whole 500km. 3 days ago, I freshened up with my 4th and final pair!

3 - Less Then 17 Days To Join (!)

Today, we completed 70% of Project 50/50. That means, I developed the confidence to recommend the Hybrid Sport to anyone who’s been on the fence so far. 115 of you already blew us past 221% of funding.

Now, we are about to end the pre-order campaign (!) so I can personally help to put your pair on the production belt A-S-A-P. If you think to lock in your pair in 1 of 9 colourways - now is the time.

Here’s to the last 500km!
